Best Surprise Ever!
Years ago, I kept Korie’s kids while they were out of town. JL and Sadie were school-age, but Will and Bella were busy toddlers. That night I hugged John Luke and apologized for being so busy with the little ones. He smiled sweetly and told me goodnight. Then, I fell into bed. The next morning I got up early so I could beat the kid crowd. When I opened the shower door, I was shocked to see “I love you 2 mama, from John Luke” written in soap crayon all over the walls. In this simple act of kindness, John Luke had left me the best surprise ever! I think I smiled all day long. Whose day can you brighten today? It doesn’t take much.
