Have You Been Rescued?

Have You Been Rescued?

Have you ever been rescued? Like, truly rescued? Once, my sister and I paddled too far out into the ocean on a board. We were having fun—until we realized we were in trouble. That first wave of panic hit hard, but within minutes, a lifeguard on a jet ski came to our rescue and brought us safely back to shore.
There’s something about a rescue that brings people together. We cheer—no matter our politics, our church, or our bank account. A rescue is always worth celebrating.
Now, read these song lyrics:
You split the sea
So I could walk right through it
My fears were drowned in perfect love
You rescued me
And I will stand and sing
I am a child of God
God has rescued you and me—from fear, lies, confusion, sin, shame, and hurt. With God on your side, you’re safely back on shore.
Accept it. Be grateful. Celebrate!
Have a great week.
