Practice Is Key

Practice Is Key

I love the Olympics!!! Seriously. I’m a fan of every sport—even curling. One of the things we all know about athletes is they will play like they practice. Did you get that? Let me say that again. Every athlete plays whatever game or sport they are in the same way they practice that sport. In fact, they get very finicky about every aspect of their practices right down to the perhaps wearing the same socks. If you have never skated to the level of an Olympic ice skater, I dare say you have never practiced like one. We are used to this in sports, aren’t we? But, what about real life? In real life we say things like, “I’m young. I’m just going to do this (substitute any behavior) for a season, then I’ll get serious about my life and behavior.” Whoa! Haven’t we learned anything from watching athletes? If you aren’t willing to practice living the right life, how do you plan to live it once you decide its time? Let’s all get serious about this living life God’s way thing and start practicing the way we really want to play the game. Have a gold-winning week!! Hugs, 2 mama
