Reason to Reboot

Reason to Reboot

I recently put on some boots from last year. My foot barely went in, but I pushed a little harder and zipped it up. Wow! I thought. Is it possible my feet have grown in one year? When I stood up to walk I realized something was wrong. It turns out my feet didn’t grow, I had left a sock in my boot from last year. What a relief it was to pull that old sock out!

Have you ever tried to pour in some God thoughts, but negative thinking seemed to be stuffed in like an old sock. Negative thoughts seem to find power when we allow them to fill space they aren’t designed to fill. Proverbs 4:23 tells us to be careful what we think because our thoughts determine how we live and act. Any day is a good day to pull out those negative thoughts and fill that space with God truths, but a New Year gives us a reason to reboot in every area. Choose this day to get rid of stinking thinking and fill up on God truths.
