There Is Always Room

There Is Always Room

If you’ve followed me for long, you know I’m one of the directors of Camp Ch-Yo-Ca. After serving over 1,400 young people, our summer camp season has officially come to a close. We live just 12 minutes from camp, and on the one night a week between sessions, counselors are welcome to use our house for a much-needed break. They also know I have a big family, so they respectfully send a simple message: “Is your house open today?” I’m free to say, “Yes, come on,” or “Not today.”
On Sunday, we sang these words, “In my Father’s house, there’s a place for me. I’m a child of God, yes I am.”
Unlike my house, there’s never a question about whether God’s house is open. No need to text, no need to ask. There’s always room. Always an invitation. Always a welcome.
He’s the most gracious host—door wide open, arms even wider.
Hugs, 2-mama 💛(hug pic: my littles and me)
