Camp Is Fun

Camp Is Fun

I came to Camp Ch-Yo-Ca 50 summers ago having no idea what to expect. My parents told me it would be fun so I thought that might be true, but what did they know? They had never been to camp. Tonight, 50 years later, I watched John Luke lead 170 teenagers in games. It turns out my parents were right. Camp is fun. Looking back, it took a leap of faith for my parents to send me away to a brand new christian camp. Our speaker tonight challenged the campers to never sit back and wonder if God wants you to do something that’s God-honoring. Instead, go do that thing and let God stop you if He’s got something else in mind. I’ll be forever grateful my parents said yes and sent me to summer camp in 1967. That simple yes changed my future and the future of my children and grandchildren. Six of them are campers this week. If a door opens for you to do something that will bring you closer to God, don’t question it, run on in. Have a great week. Hugs, 2-mama
