Don’t Ignore The Warning Sign

Don’t Ignore The Warning Sign

Saturday night we had a crawfish boil. If you’re not a southern person, you might not be familiar with a crawfish boil. Here’s how it works. Someone brings a big, cooking pot and boils crawfish; others bring salad, baked beans, potatoes, corn and dessert. Then we eat. It’s a party! But, eating crawfish comes with a warning: Never, EVER touch your eyes. You see, crawfish are boiled in spices that we can’t see, but can cause some significant pain when they come in contact with your eyes. God, in his wisdom, has given us so many treats—things for us to just savor and enjoy. But, he cautions us as well, doesn’t He? God’s word is full of warnings to help guide us through life. He warns us because He sees what we’re unable to see. We need to have a heart open to heeding God’s warnings, knowing they are for our protection. Have a blessed week pursuing a God who loves you enough to warn you. Hugs, 2 mama
