Hold the popsicle

Hold the popsicle

Monday Hug: We once visited a popsicle shop with flavors way beyond strawberry and grape. The kids were thrilled and after much deliberation, each chose the popsicle of their dreams. But it didn’t take long before they were tired of holding their cold, sticky treats. One by one, they handed their popsicles to their patient, loving parents.
Watching this reminded me of Romans 15:1: “We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.”
Helping a struggling friend can feel like holding a melting popsicle—messy, inconvenient, but necessary. If you’re the stronger one today, hold the popsicle. And if you need to, let someone hold yours.
Have a great week! Hugs, 2 mama
