Supermarket Flowers

Supermarket Flowers

“Heard this song and thought of you,” the text from Bella read. The song was Supermarket Flowers by British singer Ed Sheeran. One of the lines says: “When I fell down you’d be there holding me up.”
Of course, I was in tears by the end of the song. What Bella was telling me is she knows I love her because of the little things I do for her. In our language, we don’t have multiple words for the emotion called love. We love pizza and love our grandchildren. We might use the same word, but no one would run into a burning building to save a pizza. I love that Bella understands that my love for her drives my actions concerning her. It lets me know that she will “get it” when she reads, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son…” Have a great week. God loves you. Hugs, 2-mama
