Comforter

Comforter

Few things in life can help you understand what the Holy Spirit does for you than having toddlers in your home. A short list includes comforting because some type of injury happens hourly; feeding because you can’t turn the kitchen over to a two year old; catching as toddlers repeatedly want to jump from something where a safe landing isn’t promised. There’s no doubt a toddler’s life is full of trials and they need help.
When Jesus left this earth He promised to send a comforter to help us in our trials. That word “comforter” means “one that helps alongside”. While we can feed ourselves and determine what we can safely jump from, we face even bigger trials, tribulations, and temptations—most impossible to navigate successfully without help. Like this attentive and available grandmother, the Holy Spirit stands ready to lead, guide and direct our steps. He’s there. All we must do is believe it and have faith. Have a blessed week.
