His Love Never Ceases

His Love Never Ceases

I’ve driven past this lake every day for over forty years. Forty years of watching the scenes that are a part of the life of a lake take place. A man paddles a boat or a teen sits patiently on the bank waiting for a fish to bite or a toddler holds the hand of a grandparent who throws bread to the ducks. And the lake is surrounded by houses whose residents have come and gone. Some, like my precious in-laws, whose home on the lake was filled with love and laughter have now gone to their heavenly home. But, the lake reminds the same. No matter what season of the year or what season of life I’m in, when I come into our neighborhood, it greets me with the same beauty. It’s my faithful reminder of God’s steadfast love. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end.” Have a blessed week. Hugs, 2 mama
