Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas sweet friends! This is the day the world celebrates the birth of the one who willingly came to earth to die for us. Think about that word-willingly. I recently heard it declared that no one killed Jesus; He willingly gave up his life for the sins of those He loves. It doesn’t escape me that on this joyous day many are hurting, longing for peace and crying out for hope. Our family, too, has experienced the mixed emotions that come with this season. Death, divorce, financial defeat, illness—all of these cause our throats to tighten and tears to flow as we sing songs meant to bring Christmas cheer. On those days, when peace on earth seems like a fairy tale, remember the victory has been won. A tiny baby, born in a manger, grew up and willingly gave his life to set us free—free from all that hurts us, free from all that entangles us, free from all that crushes us. My prayer is that, today and every day, you can confidently sing Joy to the world, the Lord has come. Once again, Merry Christmas. Hugs, 2 mama
