God at Work

God at Work

Two and a half year old Ella wanted chocolate milk, so, like any good g-grandmother worth her salt, I got the milk out and the Hershey’s and made that little girl chocolate milk.
Hours later we were snuggled in bed. I was taking advantage of a little quiet time and reading. Just when I thought Ella was asleep, I heard a whisper. “2-mama”, she said, “You’re almost out of milk. When you go the grocery store, you need to get some.” WOW! Very little gets past that little girl.
Did you know God pays attention to you like that? No, better than that. Proverbs 15:3 says, “The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.” And, He’s not just watching and observing, like Ella wanting to help me with my needs, He is actively looking to see how, when, and where He can help you where you need it most.
It’s almost hard to believe, isn’t it? We can hardly meet the needs of our family, much less billions of people. But it’s true. God’s omnipresence and constant love can know exactly what you need. Now that’s something to smile you smile.
The next time you sit down to rest, know that God is hard at work, making sure you’re not out of milk.
Hugs, 2 mama (Hug pic: Our sweet, confident Ella leading the way with Honey right behind her.)
