Time for Revival

Time for Revival

I’ve always had strong, nails. No bragging, just a fact. I didn’t do anything to earn them. I inherited them from my grandmother, who had the strongest nails I’d ever seen. It’s just one of those little blessings passed down.
Recently, one of my nails wasn’t cooperating. No matter what I did, it kept splitting. I had an event where I needed all ten nails to be on board, so I ran down to the drugstore, grabbed a pack of glue-on nails, and fixed my trouble maker. Once polished, no one would be able to tell the difference. (I actually tested them on my mom and she couldn’t tell.)
As I looked down at my hands, with that one fake nail, I thought how easy it is for us to be fooled by the things of this world. Some things look just like the real thing. They sparkle, they shine, they fit right in… but they’re not the real deal. Only what God is doing in our lives is truly real.
Lately, I’ve been feeling like our country is in the midst of a revival. So many voices are boldly speaking the name of Jesus in front of crowds—online, in stadiums, in music, in conversations. What a powerful time to be alive, when so many can hear His name. But even now, maybe especially now, we have to stay watchful. Keep our thinking hats on and make sure that what we’re seeing, hearing, and doing lines up with God’s Word. His word should always be the loudest voice we hear.
Have a great week! Hugs, 2mama (hug pic: Ella and me with polished nails)
